Sheriff: Woman Sat on Toilet for 2 Years
WICHITA, Kan. (AP) — Authorities are considering charges in the bizarre case of a woman who sat on her boyfriend's toilet for two years — so long that her body was stuck to the seat by the time the boyfriend finally called police.
Ness County Sheriff Bryan Whipple said it appeared the 35-year-old Ness City woman's skin had grown around the seat. She initially refused emergency medical services but was finally convinced by responders and her boyfriend that she needed to be checked out at a hospital.
"We pried the toilet seat off with a pry bar and the seat went with her to the hospital," Whipple said. "The hospital removed it."

Aiding and abetting
My dog, Jessie, could not have taken the bread by herself. A cat had to knock it from the counter to the floor. I guess Jessie could have taken it from there.
All I know is for sure is that almost I'm out of unchewed bread and no one is talking. Geez.

Newly-discovered photo
According to USA Today:"This photograph shows Helen Keller, 8, holding hands with her teacher, Anne Sullivan, during an 1888 vacation on Cape Cod.
The New England Historic Genealogical Society says an employee found the image, thought to be earliest photograph of the nation's best known deaf-blind activist, while reviewing a large collection that was recently donated to the Boston group."
As a kid I read everything I could about Helen Keller. I found this photo very interesting.Remember ...
Life of a skeptic
"Acting on an idea from his wife, Doris, the 81-year-old former maintenance worker set out to settle a problem.
"She complained that a roll in the 12-pack would last just three days and the same size in the four-roll pack lasted four," Hill explained. "I wanted to find out."
Hill figured he had the time, since there wasn't much else to do but read or stare at the shower curtain. So he counted every sheet of toilet paper as he used it."
And what did Hill find out?
"At the end of the month, Hill said his nine-roll average was 156.75 sheets for the rolls of Angel Soft that promised 198 on the package."Hill took his information to the Better Business Bureau. The maker of Angel Soft, Georgia-Pacific, was notified. So far, Georgia-Pacific has not responded.

Thoughts on the blizzard
- Dogs with short legs won't go outside until their owners create special dog paths in the snow so the can take care of business.
- Shoveling causes tremendous lower back pain.
- It's worth $10 to pay a couple kids to finish shoveling the driveway you've valiantly tried to clear yourself.
- If your newspaper comes, chanced are you can't find it.
- It would do you good to get to befriend the guy down the street with a snowblower.
- It really is "through rain, snow, sleet or hail" with the post office. The UPS man too.
- Sometimes the weather people are right.
- Buses are definitely the best mode of transportation in treacherous weather.
- Those Columbian boots you got last year are worth every penny you paid for them.

Hillary ruined my evening
I won't go into how hard it was to catch my bus, suffice it to say I stood in the rain for 45 minutes. I'm now on the bus and it went around in a big circle trying to get out of downtown. We sat unmoving at a light for about 15 minutes. Now the bus driver is taking us on a scary and exciting detour. I'm going to get home late late late. If I make it home at all ...
