Some of you may have read my earlier post regarding the Motorola S9 Bluetooth headphones I ordered from ebay that were reportedly fakes. I was able to nip the sale in the bud by contacting the seller and threatening to expose him. I received a full refund.
I tried again. I ordered, and received, a second pair of headphones from a different ebay seller. I compared them with pictures of counterfeit headphones from the Motorola site. They were fake too! Once again, I contacted the seller and said I would alert the authorities unless he gave me a full refund. Which he promptly did.
In the meantime, I ordered the same headphones from Newegg.com (a great site!) and they arrived and are real. The long ordeal is finally over.
Lesson learned - be careful when buying electronics from ebay! If the price seems too good to be true, it most likely is. Especially if it's on ebay.
