My dog's nose

This is a picture of my dog's dirty nose. It's almost always dirty because Jessie is a digger. Sometimes she walks around with big clumps of dirt on her nose. Every once in a while, they'll be pieces of grass or birdseed stuck in the dirt. I have never cleaned her nose because it's useless -- the dirt always comes back.

Another strange thing about Jessie is she buries dog biscuits. You know, the kind dogs are supposed to eat. Not Jessie. She buries them and maybe a month later she'll dig one up and eat it. Apparently they aren't "ready to eat" until they are mushy and covered with dirt.

Cats would never do any of these things.

Currently, my dog is indulging in one of his favorite pastimes: sniffing the spot on the living room floor where our French doors meet. Apparently he gets messages from the outside world there.

When you get a dog, you have no idea the exact way in which they will "entertain" you.
